‘Maca-licious Banana Shake' Recipe

Bananas photo by Ian RansleyIf you’re looking for a supercharged pick-me-up, look no further! In this shake, bananas provide a wealth of vitamins and minerals, almond butter contributes sustenance and healthy fats and cacao and maca add a punch of flavor and nutrition. Blend everything together, and experience true raw energy!

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 1 banana (ripe)

  • 2 Tbsp raw almond butter

  • 1 Medjool date

  • 1 Tbsp agave

  • 1 Tbsp cacao

  • 1 Tbsp maca

  • 1/4 vanilla bean, whole or scraped insides

  • 1 cup water, more or less to taste

Directions

Blend everything up until smooth. If you want an even more refreshing and cooling shake, use ice cubes instead of some of the water.
